Refund & Cancellation Policy

Overview

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains when refunds are available, how cancellations are handled, and client and MGE responsibilities. Our goal is to be fair while protecting both parties and the time and resources invested in each project.

1. Cancellation Before Work Starts

Clients may cancel a project before work starts. If the Client cancels prior to the commencement of work, MGE will refund any payments received in full minus any transaction fees incurred by payment processors. Refund processing time depends on the payment processor and banks.

2. Work Commenced — No Refund for Advance

Once MGE has started work (design, development, configuration, content entry, account setups) the advance amount becomes non-refundable. Work is considered started when MGE: (a) begins design/development work, (b) provisions hosting or domain components, (c) purchases third-party services on behalf of the Client, or (d) any other action that commits MGE’s time or resources.

3. Refunds if MGE Fails to Complete

In rare cases where MGE materially fails to complete the project as agreed (and after a good-faith cure period), MGE may provide a partial or full refund at its discretion. Specifics:

  • Client must provide written notice describing the failure and allow MGE up to 14 business days to remedy the issue.
  • If unresolved, MGE will calculate a fair refund based on uncompleted deliverables.

4. Refunds for Third-Party Costs

Third-party costs (domains, plugins, themes, ad spend) follow those providers’ refund policies. MGE cannot guarantee third-party refunds but will assist where possible.

5. Requests & Processing

6. Dispute Resolution

Clients should contact MGE first to resolve disputes. If unresolved, disputes may be escalated to payment processors (Stripe) or handled under the dispute resolution terms in our Terms & Conditions.

Important: MGE’s refund policy protects time and costs invested in project setup and delivery. Clients should review proposals and timelines carefully before making advance payments.
